Alright! Haven't updated tailsteak.com in a while. Just gonna let you folks know what's up with me, I guess. And hey, just to keep your interest, I'll intersperse the details of my life with random art that I haven't already posted here.
Let's do this.
Well, I've been taking more and more commissions lately. My skill's been improving, I think. I do love doing art for people, so this is great stuff for me. I have a FurAffinity page now, that might help bring in more potential customers!
Speaking of books, I've also started work on The Rogue's Guide to Life, which is the sequel to The Paladin's Guide to Life. As with the Paladin's Guide, the Rogue's Guide will be available for purchase on Amazon, and the pdf will be available at no extra cost to all my Patreon patrons.
Have I mentioned I love doing commissions? Because I love doing commissions. As of this writing, commissioned artwork and Patreon payments make up somewhere between a third and a half of my income. I have officially made it my five-year goal to get that to one hundred percent of my income - if all goes well, I plan to quit my dayjob some time before my fortieth birthday!
Of course, Leftover Soup is going to be hitting strip #1000 (and, therefore, coming to an end) some time in April of 2017. I am planning on starting a new comic at that time... and, I admit, I'm reallllly hoping my Patreon patrons don't all jump ship when the new thing launches. We'll just have to see how that goes.
It's scary, but the only direction I can move is forward.
Anyway, that's me. I've got to keep on making things, it's just how I'm wired. I'd like to thank each and every one of you for sticking with me this long and for enjoying what I do. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know I love making art for people and I intend to do so for as long as I can.
I really need to overhaul this page...
