"Six degrees" fetish forum

Post by antipodefabricator »

Can't tell if this should be Serious Business of Unrelated. Let's go Serious, because idk.

I'm looking for a forum where I can talk about fetishes with a sizeable community. My first guesses were Deviantart - where ironically, discussion of sexual things in the forums is forbidden - and Furaffinity - which doesn't appear to have a devoted forum. After that.... well, I tried Googling a little bit. Nothing really turned up, but in all honesty, I didn't do very much digging. It's hard to explain but... well, I guess there's no reason to go into much detail; suffice to say I'm an anxious person. u~u

This doesn't quite seem the right place to ask what I want to truly ask, but it's a place I am comfortable in and a place I am allowed to discuss sexual topics, so I guess we're playing Six Degrees of Separation. Does anyone know of a place that might be better for this sort of thing then here?

Sorry if this is poorly-written or hard to understand. This topic sort of makes me nervous. x.x

Nowhere springs to mind, but this is something I've been looking for too. So colour me interested.

Just to be clear, are we looking for a space to roleplay and share our favourite pornography and suchlike, or did you have in mind a more dispassionate academic discussion of human sexuality?

More like the first thing I guess.... though "academic discussion" basically describes my approach to virtually everything, including things I am interested in. But yes, "A space to roleplay and share our favourite pornography and suchlike." That's roughly what I'd like to find.

This was probably an idiotic topic for someone like me to approach. I'm still not used to talking about sex with anyone, much less with strangers. ._.

Ehh, I think if anywhere's a good place to ask this, it's the Leftover Soup forum.

Unless Tailsteak says "no", it can't hurt to try here.

hhhhhh, guess I need to elaborate a bit. x.x

Alright, there's basically two major things I want out of this stuff. At some point, I would like to meet somebody with similar "interests" to my own, presumably in the same area as me. I highly doubt there are enough people on Leftover Soup that even one other person here is from College Station, much less someone of similar interests. : /

But even just talking about this stuff, like, if there were some sort of fetish forum with subcategories and stuff, I might be able to just go to the appropriate section and instantly find people like myself. If not, I could still write stuff in the "misc" section and still be roughly among like-minded people. I know I probably don't need to worry, but I feel very out of place doing this, and I am very uncomfortable, even going this far with this. : (

I agree with Merle. It sounds like you're looking for Fetlife.

I don't have an account myself, but from what I've heard, it's pretty much exactly what you're describing.

That being said, I certainly don't have a problem with people discussing fetishes on this forum.

You don't have to be uncomfortable. This is a safe space, nobody is laughing at you. Goodness knows ol' Tailsteak is quite the pervert himself, or did you miss the birthday porn contest?

I always thought Fetlife was specifically for BDSM, which doesn't line up very well with my own interests. Is there more to it than that?

Ah, sorry. I did not understand the very short comment that simply said "Fetlife," I didn't realize that was an actual website. I guess I'll look into that sometime, but not now. I'm much too nervous. I think I'm not actually ready to pursue this sort of stuff yet. Sorry for bugging you guys with this. u~u
