Yeah, you long-time Supersoupers know what time it is - time for the year-end contest!
....except this year's is more of a raffle than a contest.
You see, in light of the recent tragedy in the United States, I feel it behooves me to do what I can to help my American friends. So this year, I don't want fanart, I don't want fanfic... I just want us to help out.
Donate any amount - at least twenty bucks - to any of the following charities, and post a screencap of the donation confirmation page:
American Civil Liberties Union
Council on American-Islamic Relations
Human Rights Campaign
Planned Parenthood
National Immigration Law Center
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
Southern Poverty Law Center
The Trevor Project
If you're giving to multiple charities, each one counts as a separate entry.
On January first, I'm just gonna put all the entries into a random number generator and randomly pick a third, second, and first place winner.
(If you felt inclined to illustrate a Leftover Soup character doing their part to help out, that'd be nice, but it doesn't affect your chances.)
Third place gets their winning entry's donation amount in commission credit with me.
Second place gets a signed copy of the Paladin's Guide, and double their donation amount in commission credit.
First place gets a signed copy of the PG, five times their donation amount in commission credit, and some major worldbuildy thing in my next comic is going to be named after them.
Dig deep, you guys. Be generous. Help out.
I'll see you in 2017.

Re: 2016 Year-End Raffle!
I have a short list of charities I usually donate to each year around Christmas- could I count my donation to one of those instead?

Love the idea, thanks Tailsteak!
RAINN didn't show the amount on the success page, so I included the email. I hope that's alright for the raffle.
Cheers!

Planned Parenthood didn't give me a conformation screen with a specific amount. Is this
close enough?-

Like this?
Re: 2016 Year-End Raffle!
Here are my entries:
and I made a contribution to NAACP but never got a receipt so here is the transcript from my bank after making all those donations:
As you can see it is there, if I ever get that receipt then I will update with proper evidence.

Re: 2016 Year-End Raffle!
If you were going to donate to them anyway, it seems sort of disingenuous to me to try to also get extra credit for a raffle. Presumably Tailsteak is actually hoping his raffle will *increase* the amount of donations to charity.Deepbluediver wrote:I have a short list of charities I usually donate to each year around Christmas- could I count my donation to one of those instead?
On the other hand, maybe the guy just has a fetish for charity-donation screenshots and wants to collect as many as he can. Who am I to judge?
Re: 2016 Year-End Raffle!
Both monthly recurring donations, both made regardless of this raffle so they might not count.
