Gaming snacks

Post by Woock »

I'm sure there was at least a somewhat related thread somewhere, but there not being one in the top two pages probably means it's ok to start a new one.

What would you folks say are some good snacks for a tabletop gaming night? So the basic requirements are a) not greasy, b) not powdery. Cheeto fingers near card- and board games are a capital offense. Quick and easy preparation also a big plus.

We've often used popcorn. Not the butter-soaked American kind, the dry-and-salty European kind. Also works great as miniatures for minions in D&D. Kill the minion, eat the popcorn!

Anything to be eaten with toothpicks or forks? Pretty much what they use in the comic.

That's what I've started considering a few days after posting this thread. Also carrot sticks should be neat.

Even greasy popcorn can be fine, if you take the El Goonish Shive approach to eating it.

Hah, neat. Also reminds me of how I never learned to use chopsticks.
