1027: Jamie being Jamie

So Jamie is getting carried away about catering at his own wedding, and Carol (or possibly Cheryla) is a bridesmaid trying to get him back to the actual ceremony?

I didn't get exactly what was going on here at first- I didn't recognize Nicole at first, and I thought maybe that was Ellen's dad's previously unseen fiance. Then after reading the text but before coming to this thread I thought maybe it was Nicole and John's wedding- I knew John had proposed, but I didn't recall if they were married or just engaged.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's him getting caught up in the catering for his own wedding.

If we're to assume the figures on the cake are custom-made to look like the actual bride and groom, the woman sure looks like Ellen, but the dude is a redhead with no ponytail. Also, he's depicted in the traditional monochromatic suit, whereas Jamie's seems to be meant to match Nicole's dress and shoes. So yeah, no matter what's going on, it looks like some red herrings are present.

Nice theory, but the hair colors still don't match. Eric's hair is darker than the figure on the cake.

I think the woman looks like Ellen with died hair - note that the annotation mentions people changing their hair as time moves forward - but it's hard to tell with the scrunched up face. That would be in keeping with the "Jamie trying to cater his own wedding" theory - with Ellen making the most sense as the person yelling at him - except that she's not wearing a wedding dress. Ellen does seem like the kind of person who I could picture not going with the traditional wedding ensemble, mind you, and it would explain why her and Jamie's outfits match. The figures on the cake could always not be custom.

And Nicole and John are already married.

Did y'all forget the thing where Ellen choked on a ring Jamie put in her glass?

Yes, we know Ellen and Jamie are getting married. The problem is that the woman yelling at Jamie has blond hair, is not wearing a wedding dress, and has a scrunched up face so it's kind of hard to tell who it is. That said I do think it looks like Ellen if you ignore the hair.

It could be Ellen, but, uh....

So, it probably isn't Ellen. : P

If the comic confuses, read the transcript.
