I need to build a website for a school assignment. I'm not talking about coding it- I don't know anything about computer programming.
But I'm going to be creating the content, and I need somewhere to put it that's a little more complicated than the usual blog-format.
Ideally I'd be able to easily create a site with a home page and index, individualized pages for content, a search function, and a form for people to contact and/or email me.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: I need to build a website
I've checked via my online portfolio hosted by wordpress.com, and WordPress supports all the features you're seeking. (To add a contact form, create a page for your contact form, and on the top bar of the page editor look for the @ sign tool.) Several other Web publishing services (Wix, Weebly, etc.) appear to have all your required features as well, even in the free tier. Please let me know if you'd like guidance on specifics.Deepbluediver wrote:I need to build a website for a school assignment. Thanks- I'll look into it. Do you have any feedback on which of those services is the easiest to use?

I'm not sure. The only no-need-to-code Web publishing services I've used so far have been Blogspot and WordPress, so I can't yet speak to the other options.Deepbluediver wrote:Thanks- I'll look into it. Do you have any feedback on which of those services is the easiest to use?

Re: I need to build a website
I wanted to thank you for your help before- I eventually went with Weebly just for the ease of use.
This is the website I built (and am periodically making new content for): http://www.anyonecancook.info/
It's basically a more in-depth version of this thread: http://www.leftoversoup.com/forum/viewt ... ?f=4&t=853
