Tailsteak's art!
Okay, let me preface... I don't normally think highly of his style. His art at the very beginning of the comic was...unfortunate. It was borderline intolerable and I only got through the first ~200 or so comics because the story and humor were top-notch. And the comic has never switched styles or anything. I don't really pay attention to Tailsteak's commissions or anything like that, so I don't experience anything of his outside the comic.
Yeah, his art has gotten more refined in-comic over time, but it's stayed largely the same, compared to comics such as Questionable Content.
And this page...jeez. I feel like now that sticking to his original character models was a decision that hurt my image of him as an artist, but has helped him grow as one, as well as helped the comic have a more stable, recognizable cast. Seeing this art makes me want to see what he has planned next for a comic. If he's not locked into certain (sometimes annoying) character models, he'll really be able to crank out something awesome!
