955: Spicy bacon
I know that cooking is Jamie's life, but he has his own deli slicer?
Re: 955: Spicy bacon
Not that uncommon. My downstairs neighbour has one.

If you miss the statement at the bottom of maarvarq's post and thus that context...
Tailsteak's post becomes much more open ended...
and far funnier in the context of the comic.

Likes his women like he likes his coffee... a little sweet, a little spicy, a little strong, a little earthy, a little smokey, totally honest, and maybe a little offended by being compared to a beverage.
Re: 955: Spicy bacon
The only reason I would find it unusual for Jamie to have a deli slicer is that it's been established that the kitchen is a little on the cramped side. In small kitchens, counter space is a priority, which is why my slicer only gets pulled out of the basement when I'm going to use it and gets put back immediately after cleaning.

I just assumed there was one at the restaurant and he used that or something- I honestly didn't put to much thought into it. Also, even if the kitchen is cramped you can fit a fair amount of stuff above the cabinets- my roommates and I keep stuff like baking pans and our slow-cooker up there.Truec wrote:The only reason I would find it unusual for Jamie to have a deli slicer is that it's been established that the kitchen is a little on the cramped side. Apparently you can get home-sized deli-slicers for not to much though. If you do a lot of your own roasts or marinades or brines, I guess it's a good thing to have around.

I did not know that. I'd still have to throw some stuff out to fit one in my kitchen though - the over-the-bench shelves are already full and higher shelves would be impractical.Deepbluediver wrote:I just assumed there was one at the restaurant and he used that or something- I honestly didn't put to much thought into it.
