I confess, the "bad trip" thing, caused something I noticed in this comic...

Nobody, in general, is every proven wrong. Arguments are never "won", just "Paused"..and very rarely are major positions changed. Or, at least, not by MUCH.


That said? It's still VERY amusing. And, has a lot of fun characters.

Lily was pretty much "proven wrong" about her attitude towards Ellen dating Jamie, as well as towards Gina dating men in general. (What she wasn't "proven wrong" about in that conversation was her general misandry.) Related, Lily is VERY wrong about her assessment of Jamie as a person; which Ellen has called out more than once, but doesn't consider it worth her breath to actually explain why.

Not to pick on Lily, but those were the two examples I was able to remember offhand. There may be a few others, but in general, you're right; arguments in Leftover Soup ending in "I'm right, you're wrong" is a rare occurrence.
